Back in 2012, people didn‘t really expect PILOT TO GUNNER to be an active band anymore. The indie rockers from New York took a long lasting break after extensive live activities after their album Get Saved had been released in 2003. The great press for the J. Robbins produced album got the band a lot of attention and numerous concerts and tours all over the world. After that, exhausted and tired from all the efforts, the band took some time off indefinitely. Almost 10 years later, it was J. Robbins who brought the band back together: the quartet formed a close friendship with the producer and singer/guitarist of Jawbox. At first, it wasn't about playing music together at all, but about the renovation and re-equipping of Robbins' recording studio Magpie Cage, in which the four from Brooklyn gave a helping hand - and took home an album production as a thank-you. And so it came to pass that, contrary to expectations, another PILOT TO GUNNER album was to be produced. It should become the best of their career so far. As relaxed and easygoing as never before, PILOT TO GUNNER managed to create a little classic just like that, and that happened with as much joy of playing as never before. It was no surprise that the vinyl edition that Arctic Rodeo had released was sold out so quickly. For the now available and strictly limited re-issue it was high time. The album was re-mastered and a new design and layout was created. The pressing is limited to 200 copies. 100 copies come on transparent/silver marbled vinyl, another 100 copies are pressed on clear/red marbld vinyl.
