There has never been any doubt for us that the bands Jason Farrell is or has been a part of are some of the most exciting post hardcore bands ever – first, there have been SWIZ who returned as SWEETBELLY FREAKDOWN after having taken a break for a few years. Both bands had released their albums on the well known Jade Tree label. Second, there have been the fantastic BLUETIP who had a label home at the independent institution Dischord Records. Last, but not least, there are RETISONIC, who took a break after having put out several releases and having played a lot of shows in the US and in Europe including dates with NADA SURF, FUGAZI and a full US tour as direct support for JETS TO BRAZIL. We are excited to hear that the guys from New York have finally finished their break and are ready to release their new album. And we are even more excited they got in touch with Arctic Rodeo to do so. Once again, this gives us some sort of a nice and warm family feeling – besides singer and guitarist Jason Farell, drummer Joe Gorelick, who some of you might remember from being a part of the brilliant and obviously underestimated GARDEN VARIETY, and bassist Jim Kimball, who used to play in J.MAJESTY and who is a part of VS.ANTELOPE as well, are responsible for the sound of RETISONIC. All this goes well together, all this belongs together. The new album by the New York trio is going to bear the remarkable name "Robots Fucking" and will be out on Arctic Rodeo early 2012. The album is going to be released digitally for download and on CD, as well as on 100 % analog vinyl LP.
